The Hunt 512 is a large, stiff, bowl-shaped point with an extra-fine point and moderate flex.

It can produce decently thin lines but not much line variation. Ideal for modern and regular calligraphy styles, as well as for use on textured papers.

This nib is an excellent choice for beginner calligraphers.

Due to its large size, the 512 may not fit in most standard nib holders; we recommend the Speedball Straight Nib Holder or the Adjustable Oblique Nib Holders.
