Rouge Hematite (scarlet red) ink was first launched in 2010 to celebrate Jacques Herbin's 340th birthday and features a golden sheen. Each cap is hand-dipped in sealing wax, stamped with the "1670" seal on the front, and is individually presented in a collector's edition box.

Rouge means red, and hematite is an iron mineral that, when powdered, can be used as a red pigment. With a deep red color and earthy tones, it evokes the historic color of the Herbin logo and the sealing wax used by members of the royal court. This deep, intensely colored ink will bring brilliance and majesty to all your writing.

Due to the number of particles this ink contains to achieve its glitter effect, you may experience limited ink flow in some of your pens. We recommend shaking the ink well before refilling and gently rolling it between your hands frequently to maintain the glitter effect. This will also help prevent clogging. It's also important to be diligent about cleaning and maintaining your pen when using this ink.
