Introducing Noodler's newest flexible pen! The Triple Tail features a new body resin, a cotton butyrate blend. It has a lighter body than other clear Noodler models. The Triple Tail also features a new, buttery-smooth, three-pronged #6 flexible steel nib that lays down a generous amount of ink with pleasing line variation. The nib and feed feature a threaded housing.
To fill the pen, dip the nib and insert it into the ink bottle, then move the filler rod two full strokes. Wipe away any excess ink and you're ready to write! The entire pen can be disassembled and reassembled by hand.
Also accepts Noodler's 308 refillable cartridges.
Noodler's Flex Pens were designed for the handy handyman: they're made to be taken apart and adjusted. The tip and feeder twist out and can be adjusted and heated for optimal performance. Don't be afraid of getting a little ink on your fingers while you learn how to use this pen.
As a simple rule of thumb for writing with a flex pen, simply apply light pressure on your downward strokes, which will spread the nibs and increase the line width, achieving that optimal line variation. Be sure to do this slowly so the ink can keep pace with your writing. As with any flex pen, it just takes practice!
Due to the residual machining oils used when cutting the feeds on these pens, we strongly recommend washing the pen thoroughly before use. We recommend any of the following options: distilled water, water with a little dish soap, a pre-packaged rinse pen, or a clear 10% ammonia-in-water solution. This should solve most ink flow problems!
