Los tableros Shikishi están hechos de papeles washi montados sobre un soporte de tablero duro y bordeados con lámina dorada.

Se utiliza tradicionalmente para pintura de acuarela sumi-e y haiku, pero también se puede utilizar para proyectos multimedia.

El juego de tres piezas incluye una tabla gasen, una hosho y una torinoko en un tamaño de 5" x 7".

Gasen es texturizado, blanco y absorbente.

Hosho es liso, blanco y absorbente.

Torinoko es suave, amarillo y menos absorbente, lo que permite realizar trazos más precisos y lavados de acuarela.

    Shikishi Boards are made from washi papers mounted to a hard board backing and edged with gold foil. It is traditionally used for sumi-e watercolor and haiku painting but can also be used for multimedia projects.

    The three piece set includes one each of gasen, hosho and torinoko board in a 5" x 7" size. Gasen is textured, white and absorbent. Hosho is smooth, white and absorbent. Torinoko is smooth, yellow and less absorbent, allowing for more precise line work and watercolor washes.

    The five piece set includes five 3" x 3" gasen boards. are made from washi papers mounted to a hard board backing and edged with gold foil. It is traditionally used for sumi-e watercolor and haiku painting but can also be used for multimedia projects.
